As you know Ramzan is near to us, and we have to get prepared for it as early as possible. It is a month of forgiveness of Muslims, the mercy of Allah, and savage from Hellfire. All the Muslim communities in this world restrain themselves from eating at specific intervals and bad deeds. They tried their best for pleasing Allah.

Get prepared for Ramadan

I’ll discuss here some awesome benefits and rewards of Ramadan & then give tips to spend it in a productive way.

Seperate Gate in Paradise

There is a separate gate (Ar-Raiyan) in Paradise, only for those who fast. Just imagine this reward that, in eight gates of paradise, one is only and only for those people who fast, Subhan’Allah.

Our beloved Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) says:

There is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Raiyan, and those who observe fasts will enter through it on the Day of Resurrection and none except them will enter through it.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 1896)

Opening of Paradise & Closing of Hell

With starting of the month of Ramadan, the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and devils are chained. So it is the best thing for us to do more and more good deeds to achieve the rewards of paradise because there are no devils to stop us.

Wanna Paradise?

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said,

When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 1899)

Forgiveness of all previous sins

Ramadan is a month in which Allah forgives our all sins if we are sincere.

Narrated Abu Huraira:

I heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) saying regarding Ramadan, “Whoever prayed at night in it (the month of Ramadan) out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 2008)

Rewards from Allah

Allah says that fasting is for me. Every deed of Adam’s sons is for themselves (for their rewards), but the deed of fasting is for me. I’ll give the reward for it. Just try to imagine how many rewards can we get from Allah Almighty, whose treasures are endless. Subhan’Allah!

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Allah said, ‘All the deeds of Adam’s sons (people) are for them, except fasting which is for Me, and I will give the reward for it.’’ ( Sahih al-Bukhari 1904)

These are some rewards and attractive benefits of the month of Ramadan, and now I’ll give some tips to spend it in a productive way so that you can earn rewards as more as possible.

Tips to earn more virtues & stay Productive in Ramadan

Tips to Prepare

Recite More Qur’an

Ramadan is a month in which Qur’an was revealed to our beloved prophet Hazarat Muhammad (PBUH). So, try your best and start making habit of reciting the Qur’an after offering every salah. Also try to understand the meaning of the Qur’an by using translations, Tafseer, etc. Your reward will be increased endlessly.

Allah Says in Qur’an:

Ramaḍan is the month in which the Quran was revealed as a guide for humanity with clear proofs of guidance and the standard to distinguish between right and wrong.” (Surah Al-Baqarah: 185)

Pro-tip to complete Qur’an in this month 😎

If you’ll read 4 pages of the Quran after every salah, you can read 4*5 = 20 pages per day which means you can recite 600 pages in the month of the Quran (Almost 1 Quran)😍

Read up on the Sirah

Learn and read about the life of the Holy Prophet Hazarat Muhammad (PBUH). It will help you have a better understanding of the Qur’an and Islam.

Allah says:

“Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah, you have an excellent example for whoever has hope in Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah often.” (Surah al_Ahzab: 21)

Do Extra Dhikar

Keep remembering Allah Almighty, moist your tongue with his Zikar. It will give you internal peace as well as rewards from Allah. Allah Almighty says in Qur’an:

Those who believe and whose hearts find comfort in the remembrance of Allah. Surely in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find comfort” (Ar-Ra’d: 28)

Also, You can do Dhikar even when you are doing daily tasks. Do repeating Dua’s, Dhikar while walking and doing other tasks.

Wake up for Tahajjud

Try Performing Tahajjud regularly. The prophet (saw) used to pray Tahajjud regularly and ask his companions to do so. Crying in front of Allah & asking from Allah at night is the best deed for pleasing Him.

Allah Says in Qur’an:

“And rise at ˹the last˺ part of the night, offering additional prayers, so your Lord may raise you to a station of praise.’’ (Surah Al-Isra: 79)

Send extra Salawat to the Prophet

Indeed, Allah showers His blessings upon the Prophet, and His angels pray for him. O, believers! Invoke Allah’s blessings upon him, and salute him with worthy greetings of peace.” (Surah AL-Ahzab: 56)

Abu Huraira reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: He who blesses me once, Allah would bless him ten times. (Sahih Muslim: 408)

So send Salawat (Darood Pak) on Prophet as much as you can.

Increase your act of Ibadah (Worship)

Ibadah is worship, and it is not limited to salah (pray) and fasting only.

Giving charity, helping those who’re in need, being humble & modest, removing obstacles from the road, and even smiling and greeting others is an act of Ibadah.

And last but not least!

Stop yourself

Stop Yourself

Ramadan isn’t a month in which you just have to fast, read Qur’an and offer prayers. Rather it is a month of spiritual well-being and being a better version of yourself than the previous one. So stop from:

  1. Take care of your tongue. Don’t lie. Don’t bully someone. Don’t do vulgar talks. Don’t Backbite. Don’t commit those sins which can destroy your all deeds.
  2. Protect your eyes from seeing vulgar things on social media, Protect your eyes from seeing the opposite Gender (Na-Mahram).
  3. Protect your ears from listening to vulgar talks, and from songs. Rather bless them with the recitation of Qur’an, with talks of Islamic Scholars.
  4. Stop Cheating As you know pandemic of covid caused over education system to move into online exams. So, Don’t cheat in exams. It’s against academic integrity.

I intend to keep the fast for tomorrow in the month of Ramadan.”

Dua for breaking your fast

اللَّهُمَّ اِنِّى لَكَ صُمْتُ وَبِكَ امنْتُ [وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ] وَعَلَى رِزْقِكَ اَفْطَرْتُ
